About Me

Yo! I'm Nate, a performer, born and raised in Texas. Despite this, throughout my life, the first thing people usually do when they meet me is ask me where I'm from... Apparently, not having a little bit of twang down here in the south is about as rare as enjoying french fries with mayo. Which is also one of my special quirks. I've developed my voice through an entire childhood of mimicry, taking after creators I watched on Youtube, actors I loved in films, characters in video games, and so on. This habit of mine became so apparent, my father began calling me: The Sponge. At school however, no one knew of my secret succulent powers of absorption, and because of my common name, my teachers and my friend knew me as: Grizz. I enjoyed this nickname, and so when I was old enough to beg for subscribers, I crafted an alter ego (YouTube Channel) under the name "GrizzlyPlays." Through this double life I explored my love for the arts, and for being an entertainer. I once made my mother cry from laughter with a video of me pretending to be socks in a bin of laundry. Eventually this would lead me to being apart of musical theater, producing shorts for film festivals, and most importantly, starting a D&D podcast with my best friends. This podcast, "Just Roll With It," and the game of D&D, changed my life. It allowed me to explore who I was in the many different characters I'd go on to create. It instilled confidence within me that my skills in improvised comedy, in character creation, and in acting, were all things I was good enough at to pursue professionally... That, and it somehow becoming my job, really combats the life of a starving artist. Anyhow... after a lifetime of mimicry, trying to be like others that I admired, I had finally begun discovering my own voice. Now I'm ready to give that to any project you need!! ... Also. I have a degree?? In cinematography. I was told I should include that.
